2) Information we collect

• Account data: email, authentication identifiers, and profile details needed to create and maintain your account.
• Task verification data: camera images and task metadata used to verify actions such as workout reps or outdoor check-ins.
• Location data: precise location when you run walk/run/cycle tasks.
• Subscription data: purchase status and entitlement metadata from Apple via RevenueCat.
• Usage and device data: app events, diagnostics, and crash information to improve reliability and performance.

3) How we use your information

• Provide core app functionality, including Vitals earning and screen-time unlocking.
• Verify tasks and prevent abuse or fraudulent earning behavior.
• Process subscriptions and manage premium access.
• Improve product quality, safety, and support response.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4) Screen Time and Family Controls data

The Vital uses Apple Family Controls / Screen Time APIs for app shielding features. Screen Time information is handled on-device through Apple system frameworks. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising tracking.

5) Third-party services

We may use trusted third-party providers to operate specific features:

• OpenAI: used to help verify certain user-submitted images for task validation.
• RevenueCat and Apple: used for subscription and entitlement management.
• Infrastructure providers: used for account storage, syncing, and app operation.

These providers process data only for legitimate business purposes and under their own applicable privacy obligations.

6) Legal bases and consent

Depending on your location, we process data based on one or more of the following: your consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and legal compliance. You may withdraw permissions (camera, location, notifications) in iOS settings at any time.

The Vital is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age threshold.
